آلبوم مفهومی From The Inside در ژانر راک/هاردراک به سال 1978 منتشر شد که همه‌ی قطعات آن پیرامون مفهومی یکسان نوشته‌شد و از این نظر با آلبوم‌های پیشین ‌Alice Cooper متفاوت بود. همه‌ی ترانه‌های آلبوم مربوط است به دوران بستری کوپر در آسایشگاه نیویورک به دلیل اعتیاد به الکل و کاراکترهای این آلبوم به آدم‌های واقعی آن آسایشگاه مربوط می‌شوند. سبک قطعات این آلبوم ملایم‌تر و آهنگین تر از بسیاری دیگر از کارهای کوپر است و شاید به همین دلیل باشد که allmusic به این آلبوم امتیاز 3/5 را اختصاص داد.
